To be eligible, a hound must — prior to the close of entries (25 September) — have:
- Earned at least 20 lifetime ASFA points (or equivalent in its country of residence); or
- Be an AKC (or equivalent foreign) Field Champion of Record in another lure-coursing sanctioning organization; or
- Have placed in a Regional Invitational (with competition).
Singles and LCI entrants must have earned 20 lifetime ASFA points. Lure Chasing Instinct (LCI) Stake
Open to non-sighthounds and sighthound mixes that have earned 20 lifetime ASFA points. Must be individually registered (AKC incl. ILP/PAL, UKC, or ASFA number).
| Group | Open | Excellent | Veteran |
|---|---|---|---|

No hound certifications will be offered this weekend.
Non-Regular Stakes (LCI & Singles not eligible)
Breeder Stake: Two hounds bred or co-bred by the same individual. Both must be entered in a regular stake (Open, FCh, Veteran). Combined scores; highest wins the Breeder Stake Award.
Kennel Stake: Two hounds owned and living with the same person. Both must be entered in a regular stake. Combined scores; highest wins.
Generation Stake: A stud dog or brood bitch plus one offspring of that dog. Both entered in a regular stake (need not be owned/bred by the same person). Each parent pairs with one chosen offspring; an offspring may pair with one or both parents.
Bench Champion Stake: For any hound eligible for a regular stake that is an AKC, CKC, or ASFA-approved international show champion of record. A copy of the championship certificate must accompany each entry. ASFA does not recognize the UKC show champion as of Jan. 1, 2022.
For Breeder & Kennel: entries may be the identical pairing, but each dog may only be entered once in each stake. Hounds are named at the time of entry.
Gillette Stake — Saturday Only
Run following Best-in-Field procedures. The eligible hound in each breed with the highest qualifying combined score in the Field Champion or Veteran Stake on Saturday is randomly drawn to run in the Gillette Stake. Run on Field B; no additional entry fee.
Eligibility — a hound must have ALL of:
- Be an AKC, ISWS, or foreign bench champion of record;
- Be an ASFA Field Champion; and
- Be entered in the Field Champion or Veteran Stake on Saturday.
Requirements must be met prior to close of entries; proof of bench title (photocopy) must accompany the entry — no exceptions. A separate Gillette entry form must reach the FTS by the regular closing date. ASFA does not recognize the UKC as a foreign-based registry for Bench Champion (as of Jan. 1, 2022).
Best in International Invitational — Sunday Only
Run Sunday following Best-in-Field procedures. All Best of Breed winners from Saturday and Sunday are eligible, provided they were entered and received qualifying scores running in prelims and finals both days.
The winner of Best in International Invitational is credited with winning a Best in Field.

Tips for Mailing Entries (Help the FTS)
- Mind the closing date — everything is due on or before 25 September 2026.
- Write clearly; catalogue accuracy depends on correctly spelled hound and owner names.
- Include your phone number and email in case of questions (email preferred).
- Confirm the top of each entry form shows "48th ASFA International Invitational" and the correct date (Sat 24 or Sun 25 October 2026).
- Separate multiple titles with commas so they print correctly.
- Be sure entries are signed; entry forms must be 5½" × 8½".
- For Kennel/Breeder/Generation stakes, send all paired dogs' regular entries together; include the $10 per stake per day.
- Gillette: attach proof of championship to the Gillette form and meet all listed requirements.
- Bench: check the box on the entry form, fill the Bench form, include the championship certificate copy and $10 per day.
- Cut entry forms apart; group Saturday then Sunday, ordered Open, FCh, then Veteran.
- Do not send with signature required and not by certified mail — such entries will not be accepted.
- To confirm receipt, enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope or postcard.

Running Procedure
